� winner fredrik Jacobson
won his first pga tour title
after a final-round 66 lifted
him to a one-stroke victory over John rollins and
ryan moore at the travelers
championship at cromwell,
conn. Jacobson finished at
20-under 260, two shots
off the tournament record.
the 36-year-old swede,
who finished t- 14 at the u.s.
open, continued his solid
play at tpc river highlands,
hitting all 28 fairways on the
weekend. he had 63 bogey-
free holes before missing a
12-foot par putt on no. 10
sunday. “i caught a mud ball
there,” he said. “you’ve just
got to accept those. i think i
dealt with it nicely.”
�key hole moore, who
finished with a 63, could
have caught Jacobson on
the last hole, a 444-yard
par 4. he hit into a green-
side bunker, and blasted his
recovery to four feet. how-
ever, he missed the short
par putt and finished one
back. Jacobson two-putted
from 12 feet for the victory.
Jacobson gains first tour title
