cook grabs third win
� winner John cook shot a
six-under 66 sunday to set
a tournament record with a
21-under 195, and win the
montreal championship
by three strokes over chien
soon lu. the runner-up in
the tournament a year ago
when larry mize overtook
him in the final round, cook
passed lu early in the final
round and held on for the
victory. it was cook’s third
champions tour title in
2011—surprisingly he has
no other top-10s—and the
eighth of his career.
�noteworthy canadian
rod spittle, who like cook
and third-place finisher Joey
sindelar, played collegiately
at ohio state, set a tournament and course record
with a final-round 62 at
club de golf fontainebleau.
he finished t- 7. he began
the day with an eagle on no
10, then added eight birdies.

cook also won the season-opening mitsubishi electric
championship and the outback steakhouse pro-am.
