Preferred mB musclebacks. the clubs feature minimal
offset and a non-adjustable weight port that ensures the
center of gravity position is optimal for each clubhead.
the carbon-steel irons are made from a six-step forging
process and feature grooves that conform to the current
usGa groove statute.

was a sneak peek at mitsubishi’s
next generation fubuki shaft at
royal st. George’s. the shaft
features a torque, weight and
bend profile similar to the current
fubuki, but it also features a very
thin metal band in a 6-inch area of
the shaft’s butt section. this adds
strength and stability to the shaft
and stabilizes the butt end. expect
the shaft to make its PGa tour
debut in two weeks at the WGc-
Bridgestone invitational.
equIpMen T quIRK mark Wilson takes a ball out of play whenever he has hit a 7-iron or less. the
slight abrasion from the grooves on
the higher lofted clubs, he says, is
enough to warrant putting a new
ball in play. “my caddie loves it
because he gets a lot of balls to take
home,” said Wilson, who began the
practice about four years ago, or
just before he won his first tour title
at the 2007 Honda classic. “it’s just
something i thought could help me.
Plus, why not? they’re free.”
