10the;great;escape September 25: after hitting his approach from a fairway bunker, bill haas found himself on the edge of a water hazard left of the green on the second playoff hole in the tour championship at east lake gc. with the fedex cup hanging in the balance, haas dramatically splashed to two feet to save par and extend the playoff with hunter mahan. one hole later haas won the cup. —Photograph by Allan Henry/Golf Chronicles
